Zhang Hua is currently Associate Counsel of Gansu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, responsible for external communication and promotion of cultural tourism as well planning and operation of largescale festivals and events. She was concurrently Bureau Chief of China Tourism News. A member of China Prose Writers Association, Gansu Provincial Writers Association, China Photographers Association and Gansu Provincial Photographers Association, her publications include World Cultural Heritage and Silk Road, and large book series Visiting Western China: Gansu. She was also a co-author for publications like China Travel Guide. Ms. Zhang holds a Bachelor of Foreign Languages from Northwest Normal University and a Master of Chinese from Lanzhou University. From November 2001 to February 2002, she attended the training course of Department of British human resources cadres for young and middle-aged cadres in Gansu Province.
