Chengzhong XU is the Dean of Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Macau, Chair Professor of Computer and Information Science, and IEEE Fellow. In 2015, he served as the Chairman of the Global IEEE Distributed Processing Technology Committee. He is also a member of the National Cloud Computing and Big Data Advisory Committee and the Head of the National Cloud Computing Inspection and Testing Service Platform. His main research interests include parallel and distributed systems, Internet of Things, cloud computing and big data and data-driven smart technologies. More than 300 SCI/EI papers have been published in leading academic journals and conferences in the related fields, being cited about 10K times and ranked the top-10 in the field of parallel and distributed computing, and has more than 100 patents in Mainland China and beyond. He developed resource management technologies and transferred them to Huawei, ZTE and Alibaba. Besides, he incubated Shenzhen Institute of Beidou Applied Technology and received investment from Didi Chuxing.
