Witman Hung

Principal Liaison Officer for Hong Kong Shenzhen Qianhai Authority
Witman Hung is currently the Principal Liaison Officer for Hong Kong of Shenzhen Qianhai Authority. A seasoned ICT professional and angel investor, he is currently President of the Internet Professional Association, Executive Chairman of Chinese Big Data Society and Vice Chairman of the Monte Jade Science and Technology Association of Hong Kong. Previously elected as a Director of the Board of the World Summit Awards, an initiative within the framework of UN WSIS, Mr. Hung is also a Chartered Information Technology Professional and a fellow of the British Computer Society, the Chartered Management Institute in the United Kingdom, the Hong Kong Institute of Directors, the Hong Kong Computer Society and the Internet Professional Association.

Mr. Hung was a Part-time Member of the Central Policy Unit of the HKSAR Government from 2012 to 2014, and a Member of 11th Standing Committee of the All China Youth Federation. He is concurrently Vice Chairman of China Overseas Friendship Association’s Youth Committee, Member of the Shenzhen CPPCC, Member of the Chinese Association of Hong Kong and Macau Studies, Chairman Emeritus of the Y.Elites Association, Vice President and Secretary General of Hong Kong-ASEAN Economic Cooperation Foundation, Vice President of Hong Kong Industry University Research Collaboration Association, Council Member of Hong Kong Professionals and Senior Executives Association, Committee Member of Pangoal Institution Academic, Standing Committee Member of the Center for China and Globalization, and Adjunct Professor of Jinan University, Guangzhou.

In 2008, Mr. Hung was selected as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Hong Kong. In 2015, he was appointed as a Justice of the Peace by the Hong Kong SAR Government. In 2016, he was accredited with the Asia Social Innovation Leadership Award by CMO Asia.
