Dr. Wilfred Wong, executive vice chairman of Sands China Ltd., has over 48 years of extensive management experience in both the public and private sectors. In public service, he was a member of the Hong Kong Basic Law Consultative Committee, and a member of the Preliminary Working Committee responsible for establishing the Hong Kong SAR. Dr. Wong also served as a Hong Kong Deputy to the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China for 15 consecutive years. He is currently chairman of the Hong Kong Film Development Council, vice chairman of the Hong Kong Culture Commission, and chairman of the Hong Kong Art Development Fund Advisory Committee. He was appointed Honorary President of the Macau Research Association for Macau Gaming Law. The Hong Kong SAR government appointed him as a Justice of the Peace in 2003, and awarded him the Silver Bauhinia Star, Gold Bauhinia Star and Grand Bauhinia medal in 2007, 2015 and 2022, respectively.
