Mr. Teng Tong is currently the Vice President of Public Affairs of Alibaba Group, overseeing Fliggy’s public affairs, government-enterprise cooperation, corporate social responsibility, and global promotion. From 2022 to May 2023, he served as Vice President of Public Affairs at Alibaba Group and Secretary-General of the Common Prosperity Initiative, leading the planning, development, and operations of the Group’s Common Prosperity programs. From 2015 to 2022, he joined Alibaba Group and successively served as Director, Deputy General Manager, and General Manager of the Strategic Development Department. He was responsible for strategic cooperation and project implementation with local governments, and played a key role in pilot projects such as the Health Code and City Brain initiatives. From 2006 to 2014, he worked in the municipal government offices and bureaus of commerce in Xuzhou and other areas in Jiangsu Province. As one of the first Directors of the E-Commerce Division in local government, he helped cultivate China’s first “Taobao Village” and promoted the “Shaji Model” of rural e-commerce, which received official endorsement from former Premier Wen Jiabao. He also served as an expert member of the Jiangsu E-Commerce Industry Development Plan expert group and the National People’s Congress E-Commerce Law expert group.
