Maribel Rodríguez is a senior executive with over 25 years of international experience in the global travel and tourism industry, spanning aviation, hospitality, destination development, distribution, and multilateral organizations.
Throughout her career, she has held senior leadership positions at major companies such as Ryanair, British Airways, Travelodge, and EasyJet, and served for a decade as Senior Vice President at the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), where she led global strategies, institutional relations, and public–private partnerships across five continents.
Currently, Maribel is Senior International Advisor at the Tourism Development Fund (TDF) in Saudi Arabia, a US$4 billion fund established to drive private investment and accelerate tourism development in line with the country’s Vision 2030. In this role, she supports investment attraction, ecosystem creation, and the formation of strategic alliances worldwide.
Recognized by Forbes as one of the 30 most influential women in tourism in Spain (2024) and by Sergestur (2025)among the 150 most relevant figures in the sector, Maribel is also the President and founder of Women Leading Tourism (WLT) and Fitur Woman, initiatives dedicated to promoting female leadership and gender equality within the industry.
