Kenneth Fok Kai Kong currently serves as a deputy representing Hong Kong SAR to the National People's Congress (NPC). Mr. Fok has also dedicated many years of service to sports and culture, holding important positions in organizations such the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee (SF&OC) of Hong Kong, China; chairing the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC); and being a board member of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WestK). Furthermore, since 2022, Mr. Fok has served as a member of the Legislative Council of the HKSAR, representing the sports, performing arts, culture, and publishing sectors.
Mr. Fok is deeply committed to promoting collaboration between culture, sports, and tourism. He spearheaded the "The ARThletes" project, promoting a new paradigm of cross-sectoral cooperation in culture and sports. Under his leadership, the HKADC successfully hosted the first ever Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo (HKPAX) in 2024, contributing to further strengthen Hong Kong's role as a centre for cultural exchange. To support Hong Kong's development of its event-driven economy, Mr. Fok also led the Olympic Committee bidding team to successfully bid for right to host the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) annual awards ceremony and general assembly in 2026. Over 1,000 sports leaders and representatives from more than 206 National Olympic Committees will gather in Hong Kong to discuss global sports development.
Heilongjiang Province in China is a well-known base for winter sports, and Harbin is the postcard metropolis for ice and snow culture and tourism. Mr. Fok previously led the delegation of Hong Kong, China to the Asian Winter Games held here, not only showcasing Hong Kong athletes’ prowess but more importantly to contribute to the deepening ties of tourism between the cities of Hong Kong and Harbin.
