Mr. Chua Seong Yek is a Malaysian Chinese entrepreneur and a member of IAAPA and WWA. He was named Special-Class Model Worker of Fushun, Liaoning, in May 2011 and Honorary Citizen of Shenyang in October 2014. He serves as Honorary President of the Second Council of the Harbin Quanzhou Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Harbin Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). Born on December 1st, 1980, in Penang, Malaysia, he graduated from the University of Oregon in the United States in September 2002. In November 2003, he came to China and became General Manager of Guilin Ocean World, an investment project of the Malaysia KWzone Group. In 2005, he was appointed Executive Director of Shenyang Royal Ocean Park in Northeast China, another project funded by the same group. In 2013, he invested in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, founded Harbin KW Poseidon Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd., launched the Harbin Poseidon Tourism Resort, and has since served as the company's Executive Director. As a key family investor, Mr. Chua is deeply attached to China and values the investment climate and operating environment of Heilongjiang, as well as its promising cultural and tourism market. His investment in the Harbin Poseidon Resort has filled the gap in marine cultural tourism projects in Harbin, an inland city, and has promoted the development of the local tourism industry.
