Ana Carla Lopes is a lawyer, born in Belém, in the Brazilian Amazon, state of Pará, and has more than 16 years of experience in the public sector. She holds postgraduate degrees in Political Science and Public Law, with an emphasis on public administration. Throughout her career, she has held various positions in both the Legislative and Executive branches, including serving as Chief of Staff of the State Secretariat for Labor, Employment and Income of Pará, and as Administrative Director of the National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (INMETRO).
She currently serves as the Vice-Minister (Secretary-Executive) of the Ministry of Tourism of the Federative Republic of Brazil, being the first woman to hold this position since the Ministry’s creation in 2003.
