Tourists can arrive at the Macau International Airport from several destinations in the region on direct flights. The airport is located on Taipa Island and is 15 minutes away from the Macau Ferry Terminal, 20 minutes from the Barrier Gate and only 10 minutes away from the COTAI Frontier Post. All major hotels provide pick-up service which can be booked in advance or arranged on arrival.
Taxis are air-conditioned and inexpensive, and are available at the taxi station outside the Airport. There will be a surcharge of five Patacas and each piece of luggage carried in the trunk will cost three Patacas.
There are special bus service (marked AP1, MT1, MT2, N2 & 26) serving the airport. These buses cross the city and stop at major hotels.
When you are arriving Macao from Hong Kong or Shenzhen, helicopter will provide a speedy option.
Macao – Hong Kong
Sky Shuttle Helicopters Limited (Sky Shuttle) operates aircraft between the helipads on the Macao and Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal. Each flight takes only approximately 16 minutes. Macao to Hong Kong service operates from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and the Hong Kong to Macao service operates from 10:30 a.m. to 10:59 p.m.
Macao – Shenzhen
Helicopter service between Macau Ferry Terminal and Shenzhen Baoan International Airport, PRC is also available. The journey takes about 15 minutes at day and approximately 25 minutes at night.

Hong Kong International Airport – Macao
If you are arriving via Hong Kong International Airport, an air-to-sea transit connection is available. Currently, there are two ferry service operators, namely TuboJET and Cotai Water Jet running this service. Passengers can transit into or out of Macao via Hong Kong International Airport without the need to go through Hong Kong Customs and Immigration formalities and also without the hassle of carrying luggage to the ferry terminal. The trip to Macao is approximately 45 minutes.

Hong Kong has two major terminals for Macao-bound travellers: Shun Tak Centre located in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong Island and China Ferry Terminal located in Tsimshatsui, Kowloon. Tourists can find quite a number of jetfoils, Catamarans and ferries available, run by TurboJET and the Cotai Water Jet.
From Sheung Wan, Hong Kong Island
The main sea terminal is located in Shun Tak Centre, on the waterfront West of Central District on Hong Kong Island. It is above Sheung Wan MTR station (Mass Transit Railway) and next to a terminus for buses and minibuses from many parts of Hong Kong, including the A11 Airbus from the airport.

From Kowloon
The China Ferry Terminal is located on the Tsimshatsui waterfront alongside Harbour City. It is convenient for visitors staying in Kowloon.

The Yuet Tung Shipping Co. offers a ferry service between Macao (Taipa Temporary Ferry Terminal), Shenzhen Airport Fu Yong Ferry Terminal and She Kou (Shenzhen). The trip takes about one hour and twenty minutes
TurboJET offers trips between Macao, Shenzhen Airport Fu Yong Ferry Terminal and She Kou (Shenzhen). The journeys are about one hour.
The Yuet Tung Shipping Co. also provides ferry transportation routes from Macao to Wanchai – Zhuhai and JiangMen.
TurboJET runs ferry service between Macao and Nansha of Guangzhou.This route provides charter service only.

There are two gateways available, the Barrier Gate and the COTAI Frontier Post. The Barrier Gate operates from 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM. The COTAI Frontier Post at the Taipa-Coloane Reclaimed Area operates 24 hours.

The Kee Kwan Motor Road Co. offers an air-conditioned bus service between Macao and major cities in Guangdong Province during 7:15 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Buses depart from the bus stop near the Master Hotel (at the end of Av. Almeida Ribeiro and Rua das Lorchas). Tel: +853 2893 3888
